Relationship and Partnership: Listening, Trust, Touch and Intimacy invites participant duos into the powerfully vulnerable space of discovery where examining limiting tendencies and expanding skills for fostering trust and intimacy can occur. Individual, dyad and group work - writing, physical and verbal - will support exploring assumptions and needs and refining the quality and dexterity of our presence in intimate relationships. We’ll explore what trust can be, how to listen to the body’s language and visual cues in service of permeable relationships where giving and receiving, interdependence and independence, and centered care with boundaries can create a responsive and caring relationship.

Relationship and Partnership: Listening, Trust, Touch and Intimacy invites participant duos into the powerfully vulnerable space of discovery where examining limiting tendencies and expanding skills for fostering trust and intimacy can occur. Individual, dyad and group work - writing, physical and verbal - will support exploring assumptions and needs and refining the quality and dexterity of our presence in intimate relationships. About the teachers:

Celia and Oscar met in Miami five years ago and immediately dropped into artistic, educational and healing explorations and co-creations. They are both deeply passionate about partnership and how dance, theater and somatic exercises can be utilised in the exploration of relationship, trust and intimacy.

Oscar Trujillo is a Kansas-City-based choreographer, performer, energy body-worker and somatic coach. His career in dance and movement education has taken him from New York and San Francisco to Miami, where he now performs and teaches with Karen Peterson Dancers, Randolph Ward and NWD Projects. His performance credits also include Organic Magnetics, Margaret Jenkins Dance Company, Capacitor and Ramon Ramos Alayo. Oscar is currently co-directing “Bridges” for the Charlotte Street Foundation’s ‘Dance Where You’re At’ site specific performance initiative in Kansas City, MO.
Celia Grannum Perarnaud is a Barbadian who takes the sunshine wherever she goes. She completed a B.F.A. in Dance at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and pursued a career as a dancer, choreographer and teacher in the U.S., U.K., Japan, Switzerland and The Netherlands. Celia’s study and practice of Pilates, Yoga and Mindfulness, Thai Yoga Massage, and Homeopathy, deepened her understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the vital force, and aided her development of an anatomically sound, effective teaching style.
